In a significant diplomatic move, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed engaged in a high-level phone conversation with prominent regional leaders alongside US President Donald Trump. The discussion centered on the ongoing conflict involving Iran and the collaborative efforts to ensure stability and security in the Gulf region.

The dialogue highlighted diplomatic initiatives aimed at easing tensions and enhancing regional cooperation amid persistent instability. Among those participating in the call were Bahrain’s King Hamad, Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Jordan’s King Abdullah II, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman, and Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir.

This conversation took place as the United States signaled progress in its negotiations with Iran, suggesting that a possible agreement may soon be within reach. The talks underscore the importance of diplomatic engagement in addressing the challenges posed by the conflict.

Since the conflict began on February 28, the UAE and several Gulf nations have been subjected to repeated missile and drone attacks originating from Iran. Although a temporary ceasefire had previously halted hostilities, recent attacks have reignited concerns over the security of the region.
